1. Congress of CSPP
　　 CSPP organized six Congress in 1962, 1978, 1981,1985,1989 and 1993,1995,1996, respectively. There are both academic and business programs (including the election of Supervisory Council and the President of CSPP) in each congress.

2. Proposals on Plant Protection
　　 In July 1962 during the First Congress of CSPP, 66 scientists signed an urgent proposal on the pests control in crops in China. This proposal was transferred by Mr. Fan Chang-jiang ,the Chairman of CAST and Mr. Nie Rong-zhen, the Chairman of Science and Technology Committee to the Premier Zhou En-lai and the President Mao Ze-dong and was used as an important document for the officials of both the Central Government and each Provincial Government of P.R.China.

3. Promoting the Development of Integrated Pest Control (IPC)in China
　　 The principle of plant protection in China approved by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1975 was "Put the prevention on the first and use the IPC strategy and tactics ".This principle was proposed by the scientists of CSPP in 1974 in a national symposium on IPC. The concept of IPC was discussed and modified at several Congress of CSPP and the Symposia on IPC in 1986 and 1990. Currently the IPC used in China has a similar meaning of Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

　 Exhibition of the knowledge of plant protection in Beijing, Hebei, Shandong, Sichuan and

　 Write and edited the guides for pests control in rice, cereals, sweet potato, cotton,
　　 vegetables and fruit trees , and for rat control
　 Cooperative extension on the insect pests control in stored grains for farmers in six
　　 provinces in 1989-1991

　 Organized and edited for the first volume of plant protection of the Biography of
　 　Chinese Scientists, there are 52 Scientists of CSPP

9. international Communication
　 Attendance of the Beijing Symposium of Science sponsored by the International Association of Science and CAST in August 1964: Prof. Qi-Yi Shen and Prof. Ming-zang Zhou were the representatives of CSPP
　 Attendance of the International Congress of Plant Protection (ICPP) after 1979 (9th -13th):Prof.Qi-yi Shen was elected as the member of Standing Committee of the 10th ICPP, Prof. Ke-xun Huang and Pro. Li-ying Li were elected as the same member of the 12th ICPP, and all of them continued for the 13th ICPP
　 Inviting 11 scientists in plant protection for USA including Dr. J.G. Horsfall, the Chairman of 9th ICPP to visit China in 1980
　 A delegation of CSPP was invited by Rouseeel Uclaf for professional visiting on deltamethrin to Europe
　 Assistance for the USDA sponsored Exhibition on the Biological Control of Insect Pests in USA in September 1981 in Bejing
